In a strategic effort to fulfill the vision of the Alaska Native Village Corporation Association (ANVCA), the Board of Directors has added an additional class of membership. The newly added Affiliate Members enable Alaska’s emerging Village Corporations to participate in the opportunities and events that ANVCA provides throughout the year. Now ANVCA serves every Village Corporation.
The difference between Full Membership and Affiliate Membership is the payment of member dues. ANVCA has a due structure that recommends paying dues based on Village Corporation annual revenue. Full Members are entitled to vote at Annual Meetings and serve of the Board of Directors.
In January 2016 the ANVCA Board updated the mission and vision of ANVCA (see our mission & vision) and included specific language addressing outreach and inclusion of Village Corporations statewide. This expansion is evidence of the Board’s commitment to achieving our success for all of our Members.
This important development for ANVCA would not be possible without our Full Members & ANVCA Partners. As a 501 (c) 6 nonprofit member based organization, collection of member dues and partner fees are essential to fund operations and projects for ANVCA. We want to take this time to recognize all of our Full Members and ANVCA Partners for their contributions towards promoting success for Alaska Native Village Corporations.
