Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Can an Affiliate become a Full Member?
Answer: Yes. Affiliates are encouraged to become Full Members at any time during the year.
Question: What are the annual dues to become a Full Member?
Answer: ANVCA offers a dues structure based (in part) on Village Corporation revenue. Please note that the levels are suggestions and we encourage support at the highest level appropriate.
Joining ANVCA as a Full Member is a simple process that requires completing an application and designating the CEO/President or Board Chair of the Alaska Native Village Corporation as the point of contact and representative. Once an Alaska Native Village Corporation becomes a Member of ANVCA, annual renewal notices are automatically generated.
Below are the four different Membership amounts. ANVCA suggests Membership dues be paid based (in part) on your corporation’s growth and income and on your commitment to the mission of ANVCA. This creates a supportive environment where all Alaska Native Village Corporations benefit from participation, regardless of size.
ANVCA is a nonprofit and represents a unified front of all corporations in order to share information and best practice, in-turn improving the effectiveness of all Alaska Native Village Corporations and helping Alaska’s first people sustain their home communities, cultures and the lifestyles they represent; this would not be possible without our paying Members.
ANVCA encourages Village Corporation staff and board members to participate, stay informed and exercise their ANVCA benefits as members.
