General Information regarding history of Fly In events
In alignment with our vision, ANVCA promotes interaction of our Members and Partners with lawmakers in Juneau and D.C.. ANVCA typically offers advanced training and preparation for individuals to new advocacy work, makes arrangements for specific meetings (and other events) and coordinates the entire Fly-In around our common goal. This event gives Members and Partners a venue to discuss important legislative issues that affect our state, corporations and shareholders.
Fly In events can produce immediate benefit. For example, the Juneau 2015 Fly-In successfully resulted in a the Alaska Legislature supporting our ANCSA Contaminated Land “ask”. See ANCSA Contaminated Land page to review the supporting resolution.
